Mistaken at first for a new Hyundai Azera, the latest reports say this is actually an all new Kia Optima and Autoblog.com has the spyshots.
It’s all camouflaged of course, but we can obviously see the overall shape of the car is very four door coupe (stupid ass oxymoron). Looks like it’s got a shoulder haunch towards the rear and, if you look at the front door, you can see some sculpting in the bodywork.
Judging from the proportions, this will be a front wheel drive car. No Hyundia Genesis-based rear wheel drive Kia here. I’m guessing four and six cylinder powerplants will be available and plenty of desireable standard equipment at a competitive price.
Kia has been a on good roll with Soul, Forte and Forte Koup, and the yet-to-be-revealed all new Sportage. Let’s see if this new Optima will be a winner as well.
